Our Awesome Sleepover: The Day After

Well, last night was a lot of fun. We were pretty silly and I didn't have too much of a bad sleep apart from when Amy started snoring hehe. There are a few pictures below from what we got up to. It was a good way to say au revoir to the lodge. I'll still miss it though. I'm quite surprised nobody complained about the noise actually, and was quite surprised that Jennie didn't even care this morning when me and Jade told her all the thing we had done! haha

But....... now they have all gone, and I am the only one left. I've lost count of the number of tears that I've cried today, It's been, well, horrible actually. Johnny and Alex have gone out and Michael has gone to the gym, so there's me and a load of lower sixth in the house. I do get on with them, and they invited me to come to their room tonight, but I think I'll just stay in my own room and go to bed. I've got to get up in the morning to catch the coach. Anyway, if I can't spend my last night here with my best friends, then I'd rather spend it alone! lol I probably sound like a loser, but I'm a bit too depressed to even care!

Well, Jade was the first to leave, then Amy, Ally and Kimmy, and then Jess later on. I guess it's only fair though - I was the last to arrive here and the last to leave too! By this time tomorrow, I will be in Germany, driving back to my house from the airport. We're stopping for tea in my favourite place too, for bratwurst and chips. mmmmmmmmmm. As for the rest of the summer/year, I don't really know what will be going on. All I know is, it's going to be scary. I hope I like it. I really do.

Anyhoo, I'm off for one last game of one touch, one bounce. This is one big ADIOS from Falkland Lodge. Never again will you learn of the fun that goes on inside it, unless of course, you look here occasionally.

We're having fun in Jade's room. Yes we're probably breaking the rules and keeping EVERYONE awake, but nevermind... WE'RE LEAVING!! We have moved out all of the furniture into the bathroom and put matresses all over the floor. This is one hardcore sleepover.... I'll put some pictures on in the morning! yay

Well, it's nearly the end....

It's nearly here. Nearly time for me to leave. I have one full day left here in the Lodge. The last two years have had their ups and downs, but on the whole I have thoroughly enjoyed myself and have made many, many great friends. I said goodbye to Luciana at the Jolly just now. But tomorrow is the day that I am REALLY not looking forward to. Put it this way, by this time tomorrow, I will be the only girl left. I am also going to cry my eyes out an awful lot. I have to take some stuff to my sister's house too. Not sure how I'm going to work that one out. I'm not even exactly sure about how to get there. Hmmmm

Thing you didn't know about me #10

We were all just sat outside watching the rain and the storm that was going on, when the most massive lighting ever went off right above us and the thunder cracked at the same time. There was about 10 of us and we all jumped a mile, it was the most awesome thing I've ever seen!! You could feel the noise make the whole ground shake and about 20 different alarms started going off around college and the surrounding area. It was immense! I absolutely LOVE storms and LOVE the smell of storm rain even more. I wonder where the lightening actually struck. It was probably one of the trees behind the house.... AWESOME!! The picture below isn't actually of now, but I thought it was a cool one so I put it on!

Today's fun

We got Freeview in our house this weekend. As with all different types of tv, there is never anything remotely good one. Well, not usually anyway. We’d already flicked through all the channels 3 times, and as I had the remote I just listened to a few radio channels and when I stopped flicking it landed on a channel that has complete random stuff on it. At that moment in time it was playing Tom Lehrer’s ‘Poisoning Pigeons in the Park’. I’d never heard of it before, but it was so random and funny that we all ended up laughing. I don’t have the tune but you can listen to a bit of it

Ok, so there's only a few photos, but it shows you a tiny bit of what I've been up to. I only decided to put them on because I've been taking photos from everyone's shared files and I thought they were good so I put them on. A couple of them aren't brand new, but nevermind, I wanted to see them anyway. Over the next few days I'll be getting lots more photos from everyone's computers so if I find some really good ones then I'll put them on too.

Today has been rubbish. I have my French exam and I've been wanting to do anything other than revision all day. It's not like you can really revise french either. If I don't know something now, there's no way that I'd be able to learn it for the morning. It all depends on how I've advanced over the whole year I guess. I was only 4 marks of a B in my AS and I didn't learn anything with my last teacher, but this year has been pretty good. HopefullyI'll do ok. It's not exactly the end of the world if I don't get a B either, is it? I'm generally feeling bored around the house at the moment and I feel like I'm ready for my holiday, but my summer holiday would mean that all of my friends are gone! Harry left today and I think Jarvis is next. Noooooooooooo!

This is back in September when we went to London for my birthday treat (ok ok, I know London isn't exactly the nicest place int he world, but I'd never been before. We had so much fun!!)

Saturday and Sunday

We got back to college at about 2pm on Saturday. I spent most of the day sitting around not doing a lot, but in the evening it was our 'Upper 6th leavers party'. It was lots of fun and we had a bbq and played games (yes we are all like a bunch of children, so what?!). One was dizzy sticks where you have to put your head on the top of a stick and then turn around it six times and then run back to the start. After you've done it 3 times you're so dizzy you just fall on the floor when you're running back. It was so funny to watch! The other game was also very funny. You have to stick an After Eight chocolate to your forehead (by licking it) and then get it into your mouth without using your hands. If it falls off your face then you have to start again. I managed to do it in a couple of minutes (you should have seen us, we looked so stupid wiggling our facial muscles trying to move the chocolate!) but Kayleigh took ages doing it and it fell off about 3 times. It was one of those'you-have-to-be-there' moments, but trust me, if you're bored then play it, it's hilarious! Other stuff that we did generally involved talking and writing lots of messages to people in their yearbooks and stuff.

Phew.

I can't believe I'm actually leaving. I'm leaving. Wow. I have to say it again. I am leaving! It's amazing how quick two years have gone, it really is, and I've made more best friends here than I think I ever have in the rest of my life. Obviously I've made lots of other really good friends, but these guys really are my best friends, and being without them is going to take a lot of getting used to. The only thing I can say is that I'm so glad I've got Jess next year. I know we wont be seeing each other all of the time, but she'll still be there, only a bus ride away when I need her!

After a really good evening, it just ended up being quite horrible. Not because there were any arguments or it was boring or anything like that, but, well Hughz started it actually. All he did was give me a regular hug and it just kind of carried on. One long, big hug. I was completely crying my eyes out by the end of it, it was horrible, I didn't want him to leave!! Jade came out and ended up crying as well so we just went upstairs, gave each other a massive hug and went to bed after. Hughz even gave Amy a hug, which is funny because he usually bullies her! (Haha, I always knew you liked each other really!). We all got up early this morning to see him off, which wasn't fun either. I'm sure I'll be able to see him again, but not for quite a long time, and it'll never be like it was here at college. It sucks. By the way, if you read this Hughz, thankyou for being my friend, I love you and am missing you already!

So there it is. Hughz has left. Shaun has left (hopefully he managed to get 'Check my bum, I've got cocaine' off his arm which was written on in black marker pen last night for some reason) and Christian is leaving too. At least Phil came back to see us this weekend! I'm going to go and find out what everyone else is up to, or maybe I should do some french revision......

Friday Night

I haven't really posted anything since the beginning of last week, but I didn't really do anything other than revision and exams until friday. I had 3 hours of general studies on thursday morning which SUCKED and then a little break and then my business exam. I didn't really like the questions but I guess it was ok, I think I should have done enough to get a B. IT was on Frieday morning and was ok. If I manages to get 68 then I'll get an A, but I guess I'll just have to wait until August to get my results! French is on Tuesday.... AAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!

Anyway, Friday night was our summer ball. It was so much fun! Hopefully someone will have put their pictures on the shared files so I might be able to put some on later. We stayed in the Ibis hotel for the night which was lots of fun too. I didn't fall asleep until about 4.30am and I kept waking up so I ended getting just over 3 1/2 hours sleep. For some reason I was really wide awake when I got up though so I guess it was ok! We had fun driving around in Jarvis' car, but the KFC that we had made me feel sick for the rest of Saturday. Anyway, I was talking about the ball: lots of pretty dresses, LOTS of dancing, very sore feet, and a picture of us which is going in the Echo on the 19th July or something like that! So if you're in or around Winchester then pick one up and look! I'm right at the front in the middle waving with a big smile on my face.

I know I haven't posted anything in a while, but I'm leaving in a week and Hughz goes in the morning and I'm one big blubbering mess at the moment so I'll have to update you on the story of my life later on....

I leave college in 9 days! Yes! That's it! 9 days!! I still have 3 exams (plus general studies but that doesn't count!) to go but it'll all be over soon! I really am ready for a niiice long break! YIPPEEEEEEEEEE! Then I'll be heading off to Sheffield..... ooooh scary!

Shocking News

Our beloved pet, Frenchie died suddenly of unknown causes today. Frenchies best friend, Saunders is said to be in a great shock and cannot bear to live in their home alone much longer. He will be moving back to 'The Pond' later on this week. Many of Flodge's residents are deeply saddened by the event and were present at a private burial for the little frog this evening.

It seemed that he was doing well: his arms and legs had recently grown and he had said goodbye to his tadpole tail, but obviously life at the Lodge was too hard for the little chap so he went on his way. However, police investigators had more to say on the subject...

Detective Inspector Rebecca Harris, at a press conferance this afternoon:
'I am deeply shocked by Frenchies death. Upon finding him floating his tank, I let out a loud 'Nooooooooo!!!!'. We, here at Winchester's Police Station have not ruled out the possiblity that French was murdered, however the lack of evidence means that it is impossible to carry out a proper investigation. Any witnesses, other than Saunders, because you can't talk, have been asked to contact me or one of my colleagues.'

Wimbledon

A friend from School, Katie O'Brien, played in Wimbledon today! Unfortunately she lost her match 6-2, 6-3 but well done to her anyway!! How cool is that?? I know someone that has been at Wimbeldon 2 times!! Maybe she'll do better next year!

It is so hot in this house that I feel like I'm going to pass out at any minute. Save me! I think it's cooler outside now than in here...

Well, I'm off to do some work because my first exam is on Thursday!

In Your Honour – Foo Fighters (yes, ok I know I only got it on Monday, but I absolutely love it (you should already know that) and it’s plain wonderful. The acoustic cd is as awesome as the normal one and again there isn’t even one song that I don’t like!!)

I swear, there is only so much that one person can take of doing past IT papers. I’ve only done 2 and a really tiny bit so far today and I want to scream and run around hitting things. I can honestly say that I have learnt quite a few things from doing it, so I guess I deserve to stop now. I might do some French instead. Haven’t done any in a while. Oops. Oh well, there’s still a week to go until my first exam. And then there’s the college ball on Friday and our house party on Saturday. Well we BETTER GET A HOUSE PARTY or Andy will be GOING DOOOOOOOWWWN! And just so you know, I’m still really enjoying my new foo fighters cd. I think I’m starting to get over the phase of wanting it all to myself all of the time that I might let someone borrow it to put on their computer. But they better not take more than five minutes to copy it though, because I’ll start to miss it. Hmmm. Aren’t presents to yourself always the best?? And I’m not joking, if I saw Dave Grohl in the street I would walk up to him, hug him and say I love you. And then probably pass out on the floor.

Well, quite a few people did my quiz that I made the other day. Well done Jimbob (aka Gemma) and Jade beater upper (aka Hughz), you win. But you only got 90, and I think Gemma cheated – she did it twice for some reason (unless it’s another random Gemma that I don’t know…). I can’t believe nobody got 100%. Oh the shame. And Kathryn, you lose because you got 20.

I thought it was funny that my own siblings got my adopted families name wrong. They put Harris. That’s my real family!! You should have known I meant Christiana!!! Tut tut.


In other news….

- As someone has ‘taken’ the master key (again)(apart from we just KNOW that Graham must have lost it because he is plain silly! I think we would have learnt from last time!) there are new locks on all the doors and a code lock on the office door. There are 16 days until I leave. I think we can crack the code by then. There are thousands of possibilities, but we already know that it’s only a four digit number and it starts with 1, so that narrows it down a bit. WE CAN DO IT!!! ………why do I get the feeling that the majority of the U6th are going to get chucked out before the time that they’re due to leave?? I think Johnny may be on his way first….. but it’s so fun to wind up Jennie!! HA! I’m sure if we don’t get chucked out for that we can figure something else out – we have to leave in style!!

- I bought 20 mini rolls from Sainsburys today. Yes, that’s it. You didn’t misread it. 20. And I’m going to eat EVERY SINGLE ONE!!! (and then be very fat afterwards.) YEEEEESSSSSSS

I have a friend named Jade. Jade is very silly. Very lovely, but very silly. She is known to say 'Jadeisms' which are basically very stupid things that she says. A couple of old examples are 'I ain't not no retard' and her asking us why she couldn't find anything on the Internet that she was looking for - she had been searching for 'Hooligism' instead of 'Hooliganism'. If you know her, then you'll know that it's very funny.

I thought I should share the latest Jadeism with you (even though she wont appreciate me doing so) because it's almost unbelievable that someone could be so silly. Anyway...

Yes Jade, you are a VERY silly girl. What? Is the coing gonna grow legs and jump at you or somethng?? Go and sit in the corner and think about what you've done.

The Weekend

I didn't actually do a lot this weekend. I'm constantly bored around this place. I think it's because I know I'm leaving soon so inside I feel like I can't wait to get away. I know I'll miss it when I'm gone, but still, I need a break from it now. There's only so much you can take of staring at the same four walls...

Anyway, pretty much all I did this weekend was go to a bbq that was run by all of the churches in Winchester. It was actually quite good (yes, you were wrong, as I said you were at the time) there was no 'catch', the food was as free and wonderful as it could possibly be. haha. Oh well, I enjoyed myself - I got out of the house! Feel free to make fun of me if you wish, I don't care. I'm used to it anyway.



I should be getting the new Foo Fighters album in the post in the next couple of days. Yippee I can't wait. It's gonne be great!

7 reasons why my life is sucking at the moment

1. Tom, Ben and Pikey came to visit (as well as Christian). Ok, so it might not sound like it sucked, becausethat bit actually didn't. It was awesome and I had loads and loads of fun. What sucks is that Tom is going to Thailand for months and I wont see him for AGES. I miss him already!

2. My sunburn hurts. A lot.

3. Having to revise for my IT exam. It's the most boring thing to do in the world, I assure you.

4. Having to wait for something to come in the post that I really really really really want. I know it's not going to be here until Monday or Tuesday either. If it doesn't come on either of those days, I think I might just die. Or eat beans and chocolate sauce until I weigh 23 stone.

5. Hayfever. It's evil and is killing me slowly. I also have some heat rash thing on my arm. Nice. The silly thing was, afterthe sun had stopped being hot and it was a bit windy I got cold, so I had heat rash and goose pimples at the same time. Stupid or what?

6. I keep waking up really early when I have nothing to do but sit around all day. Actually, you could say that's a good thing. The rest of the day is going sooo slowly though.

7. I typed out a really good post earlier (college blovk blogger during the day because they are stupid) and saved it. Then when I came to open it again the whole file disappeared! How annoying.

What to do.... what to do....

Ok, I had an exam today, which was fine, and now I don’t have another one until the 23rd. I know I’ve got revision that I can do, but it’s not like I’m gonna want to revise the whole time, so I need suggestions for something that I can do when I’m bored. Hmmm maybe a good book that I could read?? I can't think of any. I’ve got aaaages to sit around here doing nothing. It’ not going to be fun.
