I'm excited now!

Posted by Hello

I just looked at the website and watched the trailer for the Narnia film that's coming out this winter. It looks absolutely awesome!

Click here for the trailer (the trailer on the main website wasn't working properly so I found this one. Has french subtitles, but they're quite small so it doesn't matter.)

Enjoy!

Mr David Hughes. How wonderful.

Ok, so you might be wondering why I've stuck lots of random pictures of Hughz on my blog. Well, it all started of that it was because he didn't like the picture that I put of him before, so I said that if he gave me a nice one of him I'd put it on and say how wonderful he is. So here goes...

I met Hughz in September 2003 when we both arrived here. We all got to know each other, had fun and all became really good friends. Hughz always makes me laugh, but can be very scary (I am in no way a match for his strength! Jade has tried though... hehe). He likes basketball and all sorts of other sporty stuff (that I obviously know nothing about because I don't do ANY form of exercise other than walking) and he lives in germany, like me!

Actually, I don't know why I'm telling you this, because you're probably not even bothered. All I will say is that I think he is great and funny and wonderful and brilliant and not at all mean (that's a lie) and I will miss him a lot next year! You and Jade ARE COMING TO SHEFFIELD!! And that's an order!

I Love You!! Note to anyone else who reads this: don't get the wrong idea, I mean 'friend' love! haha.

Ok, I've decided (unless I (a) can't find any pictures or (b) really can't be bothered) that I'm going to put pictures of all my closest college friends on here up till the time that I leave. then when I do leave, I can look back at the posts and weep like there's no tomorrow.

I finished school forever today!

Ok, so I still have exams to do, but they don't count. I had my last ever lesson today. Wow. Last ever lesson. I justhave to say that to myself again a few times. We didn't even do anything, our teacher let us go after 5 minutes, but I just sat and talked to my friend Chris for a bit. It's so weird, I started school when I was 4, and I know that I'll be at university next year, but it's just not the same. The thought of actually physically leaving college hasn't really hit me yet, but I know it will, and it'll be weird. Suddenly I'll be without the group of people that I've been living with 24/7 for the last 2 years. Crazy. I'll miss 'em! At least I'll still have Jess really close by and Jade, Hughz and Michael wont be too far away. Will be scary though. Oh well, I'm not leaving the Lodge just yet, I've still got a few weeks for me to have fun! Apart from one short exam on the 6th June (oh and I had french this morning - it went fine. Phew!), I don't have anything until the 23rd!! A long break! I know I'll have to do lots of revision, but I'm sure they'll be plenty of time for fun!

I would also just like to say congratulations to Michael - Liverpool managed it!! Try not to cry Michaela, I know it's emotional, but you'll be fine! hehe

Alex, me, Jade and Michael at christmas. Ok, so I have gone a bit crazy with the pictures, but I'm bored - I can't help myself. They are just a snapshot of the fun that we have here at college. Hopefully I will get tonnes more pictures off everyones computers and I will put them all on my msn space so you can take a peek if you like. The link to my msn space is always on my sidebar under 'pictures of me'. It's not that interesting, I just thought that you might want to look. Posted by Hello

Today..........

...........I exercised my randomness muscle by walking all the way home from town without my shoes on. I was very embarrassed at first nad cos a few funny looks, but then found it quite amusing by the time I got home. I swear, I'm never wearing those evil, feet-murdering shoes ever again.

I thought dreaming was supposed to be fun!

Last night, I dreamt that I sat downstairs and did a whole IT exam paper. It was so boring and half of the questions had absolutely nothing to do with the course that I do and it was very stupid. (I think one of the questions was very similar to a sudoku, which is SAD. I do about 3-4 of those a week. Hmmm maybe I should stop). Well anyway, this dream was so boring that when I woke up I felt like I hadn’t even gone to sleep yet and had been working all night. It’s not a good feeling. I was so annoyed with myself. Actually, on the plus side, I do remember dreaming that Dave Grohl walked in my house 3 times. I have no idea what he was doing, and I didn’t even speak to him, but it was cool anyway. Definitely much better than doing an exam paper. But then, when my alarm finally went off, I thought to myself ‘Yay! It’s Friday!’ But no, sadly it’s only Tuesday. Bum.

Maybe when I go to sleep tonight I’ll try and think about flowers, fairies, roller coasters, chocolate and dancing to try and make myself have a nice and interesting dream. Not sure how well that will work though…

Weekend Update

It well and truly has been a film weekend. I know saying this makes me a geek, but nevermind, (apparently geeks are the new 'cool' so I suppose it doesn't matter) I watched Star Wars. Not just one episode, but episodes I, II, IV, V and VI!!! Wow. Yes, we were bored, and the weather was horrible on saturday. That's not the end of it either. I've also bought my ticket (Belinda and Jess were NOT going to take the chance that someone else might take all the tickets, so they went early) for episode III. I can't wait. How exciting. I can't help myself. It's great. I WANT a light sabre. I WANT to be a Jedi. I'm sorry, I should stop now.

Actually, they weren't the only films we watched. After playing some volleyball on sunday we sat and watched braveheart. Awww what a sad film. Actually, I think it'd be pretty scary in real life. Imagine all those irish and scots being very angry and crazy with the english. Awesome. (that's not supposed to be offensive by the way. I think it's great. I hated the English in that film. Hmmm quite a lot of things make me ashamed of being English.... strange...

OOH OOH!! I almost forgot!! Christian made a lightsabre thing last year, of which I ( and milly) were the stars!! does anyone know how I can get hold of that??

No 1. on the day you were born!

The song at no. 1 in the UK charts on my birthday (8th August 1987) was:

La Bamba - Los Lobos

How awesome is that?? The theme song for my life is La Bamba!!!

French and Saunders

Jade has never seen a frog before, mainly because she comes from the other side of the world, so Tina (our cleaner) brought us some tadpoles from her pond. As you can tell from the title of this post, we called them French and Saunders. I have no idea why, but those names kind of stuck. Someone suggested Hitler and Stalin, so I'm glad about the ones we chose! haha. They are now living in a fish tank with lots of pond water, some weedy plant things, Jeremy the spider, Boaty the bug, Hughz Junior the bug, tick, a snail (yet to be named) and lots of baby leeches (ok so we didn't want them in there, they just happened to be in the pond - so don't put your hands in). We've already thought that they were dead 3 times, which is impressive seeing as we've only had them for about 2 hours. Anyway, we have no idea what we'll do with them when they grow, (if they survive!) so I'll have to keep you posted on what goes on. Ooh how exciting!

Don't you just love beautiful people? Especially the ones that are beautiful on the outside and the inside. Just wonderful.

What's your mexican name?

Your Mexican Name Is...

Doña Pasha

aaahhhhhhhhhh

Ok, so my chesty thing doesn't really hurt like it did before - I took some ibuprofen. It doesn't hurt when I lie on my back anymore either, just on my side. It's also in the process of evolving into a massive flu like thing. Sore throat started yesterday during the day and this morning I've got the whole blocked up thing going on. I'll just have to sit in the sunshine and hope it all goes away by Tuesday (I have my french oral exam that day. And by that I mean speaking, not kisses.)

I don't know what it is

I have a pain in my chest that started last night. I couldn't lie on my back or side the whole night so I slept on my front. I have no idea what is wrong with me and it's getting on my nerves. It hurts when I sit in a certain position or breathe in deeply. It doesn't feel the same as asthma so I don't know what it is. If I die, then I leave my money to my parents and my family and friends can share out whatever junk they want from my room. I like roses, so you can put them on my grave if you like.

Maybe I'm having a slooooooooww heart attack. Unlikely though. Hmmm. Suggestions?

I've created my own nation!

Today I made 'The Republic of Beakyville', of which I am in charge of (obviously). My national animal is the duck and the currency is 'The Beak'. It's fun. If you a) like politics or b) just being able to rule people then I think you should make one by clicking here.

I can't believe it happened again

I got fired today. Again. It's really not funny. The last time, I got my job back so it was ok, but I know it's not gonna happen this time. There's no point in me trying to find another one either, because I've only got a couple of months until I leave here for good. The only good thing I can see about this whole thing is that at least this time we've been given some notice (ok, so it's only 3 days, but that's better than last time) and we get paid for next week too, even though we wont be there. Oh well, I'll just have to try and not spend money as much as possible, so that I can actually afford to feed myself next year!

In other news...
I've changed my sidebar. Now there's a little face that you can look at and see what kind of mood I'm in. Obviously the first one is going to be depressed!

Strange people

There are some strange people in the world. I (when I am very bored) go on blogexplosion and read other peoples blogs. There is this one guys blog, which ALWAYS appears, which means that he must spend hours and hours on the site. It’s so annoying. He is the most camp, silly boy in the universe. Besides the general ramble of rubbish in his posts, he also has some pictures: one of him posing outside a Louis Vuitton shop, and another of himself in a dress. Ok, so that might just seem like a laugh, but I swear, he’s being serious. It really isn’t normal. I’m sure he’s wearing lip gloss too. He even refers to himself as a girl, even though it’s clear that he’s male. I just don’t get it. Oh dear, he’s even stuck his face on a Paris Hilton picture. This guy has issues, really. If you dare to look, click here.

Thing you didn't know about me #5

I was at my sisters this weekend and I had to sleep on the floor in her room on Sunday night. Her wardrobe has massive mirrors on it, and for some reason I opened my eyes during the night, only to be faced with, well, me! It made me jump actually and I can now say that my eyes, in fact no, just me in general is very scary in the dark!

No motivation whatsoever....

I can’t be bothered. I’ve tried to sit and do some revision, but I just can’t. I sit for about 30-40 and then I have to stop. You might be thinking ‘It’s fine! That’s normal.’ But then after I have a break I’m so bored and so easily distracted that I find it hard to do much more. Jade was packing up some of the junk from her room earlier, so I thought ‘Hey that’s a good idea, maybe I’ll be able to work better if there’s less clutter’. So off I went into my room, looked around and thought’ There’s nothing I can see that I don’t really need and that I don’t want around,’ so I left it. Then later on, when I managed to sit down and get working again, I took another look around. I must have been completely blind the first time I looked. I can remember ages ago, Valancy Jane wrote a massive list of things that live in her bag, so now I’m doing a list of all of the random things that I can see when I’m sitting at my desk.

-‘Combat Force’ toy gun that lights up and makes a noise when you fire it
-Small white plastic spoon with a face and pink hair drawn on it
-Shuttlecock
-Cup may from Manchester University
-Sunflower teddy thing with shiny leaves that says ‘smile’ on it.
-Dry rose hanging up
-2 cocktail umbrellas, one blue, one red one
-2 Superman Christmas crackers
-Mini disco ball
-Juggling balls
-Plastic pink ring
-20 glow in the dark stars
-Gameboy + Tetris (from 1991!)
-Ink and a stamp that says Rebecca in purple, swirly letters
-Golfing glove
-Fairy lights (used to be x2 but one died)
-Heart shaped balloon (yes, balloon, not box. It’s been there since January. Actually, I think I have a heart shaped box in my pigeonhole. Thanks Hughz.)
-Chop sticks from Kam Wah mmmmmmmmm
-A pencil with a wooden Jamaican mans head stuck on the end
-Polly Pocket pencil sharpener
-Big cup from a baseball game in Texas
-‘I love Guinness’ hat (Kyles)
-Escape route map
-1 slipper
-Blue straw with a knot tied in it

I don’t think there’s any way that I could say that there’s nothing to throw away in my room…
