Appauling blogging

My blogging has been pathetic of late, and I apologise. Not only am I very rarely near a computer with the Internet at the moment, I also just have nothing exciting to say. Yes, I've finished my exams, yes I have nothing to do, and yes I had a brilliant time at a BBQ an watching the hysterical Eurovision with my friends on Saturday night and we also saw a little fox on the way home, but to be honest, I just can't be bothered to write about it.

I

can't

be

bothered.

So there, I'm being lazy.

If something REALLY exciting happens soon then obviously I'll tell you, but I wouldn't be surprised if the next few weeks aren't that busy on here.

I'm going to Leeds and Bradford next weekend, which of course, as it always is, will be lots of fun, and I've also got half way to sorting my guitar out. But even my fingers are feeling lazy at the moment and I just don't want to sit infront of a computer and type about it.

I've just finished reading Goodnight Mister Tom and I'm going to go back to the library and get another book. I need to find a new hobby because frankly anything is better than sitting infront of this silly machine at the moment. I can't be reading all the time. So what can I do with myself. And don't tell me to get a job, I'm asking you for hobby ideas...

I wrote this a few weeks ago but am only just posting it...

Guuiiiiiiitaaaaaaarrr!

So, I finally have a guitar. It was mum’s first ever guitar and I have the privilege of being its new owner. There’s just one problem. It only has 4 strings, all of which are ancient (and when I say ancient, I mean, VERY ancient), the nut is broken and it has no case (that also broke). It has also lived in Steven’s cellar for the last 3 years so it smells a bit funny. Great. What am I supposed to do with it? I can’t play it, that’s for sure.

Although, Crofty did point out one very cool thing about it. I’m actually living out a very famous lyric by having this guitar. Well, my mum is anyway…

I got my first real six-string
Bought it at the five-and-dime
Played 'til my fingers bled
It was summer of '69....

(I told you it was old…and yes I know it was your christmas present, but please don’t ruin my fun)

So it’s just sitting in my room looking pretty and smelling minging and that’s where it’ll stay until I sort it out. Or unless someone does it for me. I’m guessing the latter won’t ever happen though, so I better get off my bum and do something about it.

Business Analysis

I had my Business Analysis exam this morning.

Lets just say this:

I think I passed it (I hope I passed it...), but me and Faye needed a BIG pizza hut dinner to make us feel better after it. Seriously, I think it's the most ridiculous module that there ever was, ever. Fact.

Now it's time to go home and revise for tomorrows exam. And the one the day after that. But, after Wednesday.....

I'm FRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Whoever heard of a summer holiday starting in May??? Bit silly isn't it?? But me and Faye are having a fun trip to Leeds/Bradford on the 27th which is gonna ROCK. Then I have to figure out what I'm doing for the rest of the summer. Well, when I say summer, I mean until October, which is technically Autumn. So far I've got this, this and this planned. They involve: having lots of fun, spending time with friends, Switchfoot, camping, being extremely silly and general mischief.

*Sigh* My life is so, well, relaxing! hehe

I'm back! For now, anyway...

I'm in the middle of exams. That's my excuse for not blogging and I'm sticking to it.

So what have you missed in my life whilst I’ve been away??

- sunshine!
- Sitting in the sunshine in the park, playing football, Frisbee etc – I even wore a skirt! (not a regular occurrence – it’s usually waaaay too cold in this country)
- Sunburn. I did try not to let that happen. I even took my sun lotion with me. I just obviously didn’t put enough on. Maybe next time I’ll manage to have a day in the sun without scorching myself…
- Rain. Good things never last. Well actually that’s not strictly true. Lots of good things last. I’ll rephrase that statement. Good weather never lasts. Not in England, anyway.
- Getting a HUGE puddle splashed all over me by a car. It was like something out of a film. Ridiculous. I swear there’s some kind of law about doing that. And if there isn’t, there should be. I could spend hours thinking of appropriate tortures punishments for people that do things like that to pedestrians.
- Revision
- Exams
- Missing out on cake because of exams
- Rubbish rubbish rubbish

My little graph shows you how my week went. Follow the red line down, down dooown and if you look veeery closely you can see me lying, in tears, in the explosion at the bottom. Oh woe is me.

My family is great!

This weekend was my granddads 80th birthday celebration which saw the whole of my family (minus dad) together for a day of fun. Well, it wasn’t really a whole day, more like lunch and afternoon…

Anyway, it was a really nice day, and I’ve decided that I’m very lucky to have such a great family. We all get on really well and just have fun all the time. Me and my sisters are possibly the silliest girls in the country, but that makes it even better! Steve and Bryony (Sarah and Steven’s boy/girlfriends) now definitely know what they’ve got themselves into by joining our family hehe. At least Steve managed to escape the kiss on the lips from Grandma this time HA!

So, the ingredients for a fun Harris action packed family day include:

- all 4 siblings plus ‘their other half’, for those who have them
- food
- mum/uncle to pay for the food
- sunny weather
- 1 doolally grandmother
- Any other relatives brave enough to take part
- a camera or two

Hopefully I should be able to get hold of some of the pictures quite soon…
