Was it really that bad???

The Scene: Our house, Wednesday night....

Ross: It was like being sick after a night out and then leaving it in a glass. Then adding some fruity stuff, mixing it up, and drinking it back again. Becky, I’m shaking, that really can’t be good.

Danny: But was it the best worst drink you’ve ever had? That was what I was going for!

Ross: Mate, it was like everything I’ve never wanted to drink in the whole of my life all in one glass together.

Danny: Great! *shouting into the house* Mike!! It was a success!

Ross: *Still shaking* My stomach is churning…*turns and pukes all over the grass*

What was it? Well, let me just say something to you first: don't make a stupid bet with Danny and don't ever let Danny make you a drink 'of his choice'. Just smelling the thing made me want to hurl. 'Of his choice' meant: mashed up baked beans, bit of milk, some orange squash (not diluted with water...) brown sauce, chilli sauce, some kind of herb and garlic sauce and a few different samples of alcoholic drinks. Mmmm yummy.

I think Ross might have learnt something from this...

It was hilarious to watch, but you've still got to feel sorry for him!

I'm baaaaack

I wrote this the other day but haven't been able to get to a computer properly....

I’m really not in the mood for blogging at the moment. In fact, I think it’s just the fact that I’m not in the mood for sitting in the library, which I kinda have to do if I want to blog. So, I’m writing this on my computer at home, where I am not surrounded by 650 other students that distract me from working simply due to the fact that they’re walking around me. I have no motivation for revision whatsoever at the moment, which makes it even harder, but I’ve borrowed Faye’s textbook for the evening so that I can see whether I’ll work better at home, so you can imagine the goodies that my evening has in store for me… Last night was much better, with a trip to Flares for Ach’s birthday and ‘decorating’ his car when we got home with Faye and Michelle (with pink loo roll… what could look better?? Tee hee).

Anyway, I’ve decided that the only method of getting the next chapter of this work done is to starve myself of dinner (and it’s already 7pm and I’m starting to get hungry!) until I’m satisfied that I’ve actually got something useful done today. Well, this morning was productive – I had a good meeting with Dan, Chris and Nick about CU (even though I nearly fell asleep at one point from being tired from last night). But then, that’s not going to help me pass my exams, so it doesn’t count.

Right! Into the thrilling world of marketing I go! …… I might get completely lost and confused on this little adventure, I might even be eaten by an angry troll with green hair and a blue moustache, or I might quit soon because I’m hungry, who knows? Maybe I’ll find out that the ‘world of marketing’ is actually a fairy land with marshmellow trees and happy children skipping around and riding ponies and all my exam will include is judging in the Prettiest Flower Contest as opposed to being about market segmentation and keeping irritating customers satisfied…. but I doubt it.

………….

Don’t worry if that last paragraph made no sense to you, there are weird things flying around my mind, none of which have anything to do with business studies unfortunately. And I’ve just noticed that I’m blabbing nonsense to you all without even realising it. I should stop procrastinating and ACTUALLY DO SOME WOOOOOOORK.

Don't panic

I'm alive, I'm here don't worry!

You just have to give me some time....

Hopefully I'll be able to post something proper tomorrow, so try not to miss me too much (yes that means you too mummy hehehe)....

Weeeeelll.... it's the end of my holiday....

.... the end of my holiday in Germany, anyway. I fly back to Manchester via Stanstead (how annoying!) tomorrow morning. So early tomorrow morning, infact, that it's not really even worth me going to bed.

It's so stupid, what kind of person thought it would be good idea to schedule the only flight for tomorrow that I can get at

6.25 AM

It's just rude, to be quite honest.

So that means that I have to get up at 4am.

I should really be on my way to bed now shouldn't I? But I know that my mum will complain about the state of my room becuase I haven't finished sorting it out and cleaning up and making it tidy yet. That means I'll have to keep doing things until she's satisfied. And I want to play my new game that I (actually, mum) bought (Tropico 2 - it's about pirates, it's brilliant!) but I don't think it's a very good idea... I think it might be wise to get as mush sleep as possible.

And my new phone lets me set about 5 different alarms and each one of them can go on snooze, so I don't think there'll be too much trouble with getting out of bed. I'm usually good at getting up, but then I don't usually get out of bed at 4am, so I wouldn't be surprised if I struggle a little bit tomorrow...

I REALLY hope I don't end up falling asleep on the train or a bench somewhere and wake up 6 hours later with no idea where I am or what happened and with my suitcase and all my other belongings stolen from me. At least I don't think people will mistake me for a tramp, that would be much worse! hehe

So that's good night and auf wiedersehen from Deutschland!

I have absolutely no idea when I'm going to be back. It could be months. Who knows? And I might not be able to post for a few more days so don't worry about me and think I've got lost somewhere (even though I might have!) I don't have the Internet at home in England... Ciao!

Ooh! Ooh! I almost forgot!

Reminder #1 for Sven --- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember to bring the guitar. Write it on post-its and stick them everywhere so you don't forget. Please!

Meeeee

I'm on...

bebo

and Myspace

You may add me if you wish. But bear in mind if I have no idea who you are it's quite likely I wont bother with accepting it. But you never know, I might be nice and accept you if I feel like it even if I don't knowwho you are. Maybe.

Time For Change

I wanted to change my template quite a while ago, never actually got around to doing it, but now I've finally done it! I think it's very pretty, don't you? I know it's not the most exciting template in the world, it's just a normal one, but still, even a little bit of change is always good.

In other news...

I'm doing really well at learning the guitar! I'm using my mums while I'm here in Germany but hopefully (if my brother doesn't forget) I'll be able to get to one when I'm in England. Pleeeeeeaaasssse don't forget. Once I actually have it I don't know what I'm going to actually learn from, because I've been using my mums books. Sunday School songs are the BEST, especially for when you're learning the guitar!!!

If I were a butterfly,
I'd thank you Lord, for giving me wings.
And if I were a Robin in a tree,
I'd thank you Lord that I could sing.
And if I were a fish in the sea,
I'd wiggle my tail and giggle with glee;
But I just thank you Father for making me me!

For you gave me a heart and you gave me a smile,
You gave me Jesus and you made me your child,
And I just thank you Father for making me me!

........

I can't be the only person that remembers singing this song at the age of 6! I'll play it for you if you can't remember how it goes. And if you're lucky I'll even sing it for you. But don't get your hopes up. hehehe

Silly me

I didn't have any tea (that's dinner or supper for posh/non-English people) last night until about 11pm.

Mum got our Easter eggs out and I'd eaten so much chocolate that I couldn't bring myself to eat any normal food.

Tee hee.

I then topped off the evening by watching Chocolat on BBC2...

The B Set Rebels

I've just been talking to my friend Ella from school that I haven't spoken to for quite a while. We were remembering all the silly things that we did when we were at school (there were A LOT of silly things...).

I made her laugh so much that she had to use her asthma stuff. I think I nearly killed her. I'm serious. I really nearly did.

Then I told mum one of the stories and laughed so much and ended up spilling my drink more than once.

I love laughing. Especially when you're remembering how badly behaved the whole of your class was and how we got away with ALL OF IT.

The B Set Rebels. That's what we were. Complete and utter rebels. But it was fun, so I don't regret it.

I especially like the one where we drew a nose and whiskers on Kathryn's face. The teacher went absolutely insane and the thing that made it even more funny was that it was one of those *you're trying not to laugh which makes you laugh even more and then snort and nearly wet yourself* kind of moments. Classic.

Or the one where Mr Wood had to come in and observe our lesson cos we were ALL so silly, but we were perfect that lesson. But when he left we all cracked up laughing and didn't stop for half an hour. I bet Mrs Currier thought she was going insane.

Or in physics where every few minutes someone would shout 'MOLE!'. It had nothing to do with the fact that the teacher looked like a mole or anything.... hehe

I lost count of the times Kathryn was screamed at for singing. They were mostly love songs....... to herself. I would usually worry about anyone that did that, but it was just normal, everyday life for Kathryn.

You know, I'm not surprised that teachers have breakdowns. It's probably from people like us. Mind you, we were only ever very silly, we weren't nasty, so I guess it's ok, there are classes worse than ours, and we generally got on with our teachers. It's just hard to get to grips with the fact that a whole class can be so ridiculous every lesson for 2 years running. And I still managed to get A grades!!! It makes it seem even more worthwhile!

I would never be able to do that now without feeling at least a bit guilty about it, but they are all great memories nonetheless.

Ahhh... The Grove. What a wonderful place...

I can tell I'm going to be laughing in my sleep tonight. If you knew what me, Ella, Kathryn, John etc were like, you'd understand completely. Actually, even if you only know what I'm like, just imagine them as being different versions of me, then you'll know exactly why the lessons were so funny.

Tee hee.

The most embarrassing thing in the world

If one of your friends gets a camera out, just go and hide somewhere, don't take part in anything that they do. It's a very good suggestion, however I've not always been good at listening to my own advice...

I swear if those videos fall into the wrong hands... I will actually consider suicide.

Christiana and Steph were the only witnesses of our (mostly my own) stupidity and we're the only ones with the evidence. I really hope she puts them away where NO ONE can find them. Ever. I've only recently looked at them again and I can tell that they're gonna get more embarrassing as I get older.

I mean, I don't mind all of the photos, because I wasn't alone in them at all, but the videos... AAAHHHHHHHH IT'S HORRIFIC! I trust Christiana won't show them to anyone without me knowing about it, because she can't forget the videos of our summer holiday that I have, but still, I'm worried about it....

I like bribery, but I hope it never comes to me having to use it...

I have nothing interesting to say so I thought I'd do one of these question thingys

[[what were you doing last night at ten?]]
Watching TV I think - something I don't do very often!

[[what color shirt are you wearing?]]
Black and it says Jesus is my homeboy on it.

[[have you made out with anyone in your sidebar links?]]
No of course not.

[[do you have "a thing" for anyone in your sidebar links?]]
I love quite a few of them, either because they are my siblings or a very good friend, but there's no "thing"

[[how many friends on your list do you know in real life?]]
7.

[[do you hold grudges?]]
No. It's not worth it. Besides, I think I'm too lazy to hold grudges, it's more effort than it's worth. I prefer just to get on with everybody.

[[have you ever had your heart broken?]]
Nope.

[[do you have a good relationship with both of your parents?]]
Ja

[[most recent movie that you have rented?]]
I don't ever rent them, but the last one I watched was .... hmmmm.... I haven't watched one for quite a long time... I think it might have been The Interpreter

[[name three things you have with you at all times:]]
If I'm out of the house, then my phone, my house keys and my purse.

[[would you rather give or recieve a massage?]]
Receive. I'm not that good at giving them my hands get tired really quickly.

[[name a teacher you had the hots for:]]
None. Don't you know what my school was like? Ew.

[[how much cash do you have on you right now?]]
Nothing. I don't think I actually have any Euros of my own. Actually yes I do, I have 15 euros, but they're in England, that's a bit pointless, isn't it?

[[whos the 4th person on your recieved calls list?]]
I have no idea my phone is upstairs. I think it might be Luke or someone that got hte wrong number...

[[what's the main ringtone on your phone?]]
It changes depending on who is ringing me

[[what time did you wake up?]]
I was WOKEN up at about 10am or something like that this morning because I was supposed to get my hair cut, but I didn't actually get out of bed until quite a bit later than that. I don't usually get out of bed until nearly lunchtime when I'm at home in the holidays.

[[what were you doing at midnight two nights ago?]]
SlI can't remember really. I was either probably on the Internet or reading. Ooh actually I think I might have been watching A&E or Paramedics with Sarah. Very exciting.

[[how many ex's are on your sidebar links?]]
None.

[[do you like having your hair pulled?]]
Who does? I like it when people play with my hair, it's relaxing, but it doesn't happen very often. I think Tom might have the last to do it when my hair was down the back of the sofa and he was sat behind, but that was about 2 years ago.... I don't even have a sofa where I live now... :'(

[[favorite city?]]
In England, it's Leeds, but as for places in the rest of the world I'd probably say Rome. My favourite place in the world is Garmisch, in the alps, but it's only a small town.

[[name something you can't wait for:]]
Summer

[[last time you saw your mom?]]

[[do you get along with your siblings?]]
Yes, very much. We are the silliest people in the world when we're together. My brother is more normal, but I don't get to see him very often which is a bit rubbish, but we still get on well with each other.

[[the one thing you want most:]]
I couldn't nail it down to just one thing.

[[last thing you said out loud?]]
"Oh sorry, I'll do it in a minute, I'm nearly finshed". Before that it was something about food. What a surprise... I was thinking about food. mmmmmmm

[[last person you hugged and/or kissed?]]
Mama

[[last thing you spent over $100 on?]]
I've never spent $100 in my life. The last thing I spent £100 on was... hmmm.... I dunno I've not bought anything big recently... I spent £75 when I booked something for the summer recently, that's close enough.

[[what kind of shoes are you wearing?]]
Blue, light pink, dark pink and purple striped slippers with a cow on them. Loving the clashing stripy socks that I'm wearing with them too! hehe

[[what's the last piece of clothing you borrowed from anyone?]]
I wore Sarah's top on Sunday and it's still in my room. She'll get it back when I can be bothered to move it.

[[i really wish i drove...]]
Anything! I haven't even started lessons yet, it's ridiculous.

[[most visited webpage?]]
I'm not sure. I check my email more than anything, but when I read blogs, I Look at them all at the same time.

[[last person you text messaged?]]
Christiana. I was very bored in Stanstead airport, it had to be done.

[[do you have an air freshener in your car?]]
I have no car....

[[do you have any plants in your room?]]
No. I used to have a cactus but my grandparents managed to destroy it somehow and when I was at college I had another one, but there wasn't much sunlight in my room so it didn't do too well though. But I left it behind and I believe it's now living in Flodge's hallway and it looks wonderful! I wouldn't be surprised if someone had accidentally knocked it off and killed it though...

Simple Things Please Simple Minds

Me and my sisters were laughing so hard yesterday that I ended up crying and I couldn't breathe.

I'm so glad the neighbours weren't in, they would never have spoken to us again if they had heard what we were doing...

hee hee hee

The Grand Day Out

Look guys!! Look what's over there! I'm so excited!
It's our house!!! No, not really, we were at Chatsworth...

But where is Mr Darcy???

There he is!!!

See? It really is Mr Darcy! I've found him!

We're in love!!

And I really am Keira Knightly... or so the guy that was working there tried to convince me. He didn't accept me telling him that we look NOTHING alike. She has brown hair, is really tall and extremely pretty. Oh yeah, and there's the small fact that our faces look totally different... I still took a picture of me standing next to her dress from the film though... Look at this picture and you'll see why I'm stood like that... hehehe

We had such a fun day and were being very silly when we took these pictures! There are quite a few more good ones but blogger wont let me load them! So sorry Zoe, I did try to get some of you on but they just wont work! I'll try again sometime later on when I rediscover these pictures after having forgotten about them and realise how funny they all are together. Me and Faye nearly died laughing when we first looked through the whole lot. Especially at the one of me and Zoe looking a little... err... shall I just say odd and leave it at that? hehe

Well it was a great day anyway!! We'll have to decide what to do for or next trip out, but we'll ahev to take everyone next time!

Thing you didn't know about me #18

A lot of people think flowers are overrated. But I love red roses and always will do. They're so pretty. If you ever want to get into my good books then get me some flowers. Obviously a different type of flower might be a good thing to give me, because you might send out the wrong message with these ones... hehehe. I'd love to get flowers from anyone though, even if you're just a friend, so don't hold back, feel free to buy me some!!! I also like liles. And tulips. And any other pretty flowers. So basically, anything and everything pretty.

Does this mean I'm turning into an old lady already? I'm only 18.....!!!! aaaahhhhhhh. *sigh* Oh, they're so PRETTY!

THE Day Has Arrived!!!

My friend Simon (whose 20th birthday was yesterday, so happy birthday for that...) spent the whole of college determined to make me fat. Nothing worked. Nothing. Zip. Nada.

But wait.....

since I've been at uni something has happened....

wait for it....... (i'm trying to create a bit of suspense)......

Basically, I got home (Germany!) last night and my mum said that she thought I'd put weight on on my face. I used to have quite defined cheek bones, but I'm guessing I don't anymore... and so I weighed myself this morning. I think the last time I weighed myself was around September or something like that, but since then I've put on....

6lbs!!!!

That is A LOT considering that my weight didn't change at all while I was at college. 6lbs!! I'm well on my way to being able to give blood!! It's seems my target of 3 years to be able to do it might be too long!! Woo hoo!!

I still weigh about the same as a fly, but I'm getting there! I always knew that those Sheffield hills would do some good! It's not like I've been eating tonnes, but something has happened!!!!

I probably sound so weird for being excited about putting weight on... but it's so hard for me!! Simon will be proud!

AMAZING!

I had the most brilliant day yesterday with Zoe and Faye. But, I'm going to keep what we got up to a secret. You'll have to wait until I get home to see the pictures and I'll tell you all about it then. I know you're all going to get impatient and quite upset, but I'm sorry, you'll just have to wait until Saturday... unless I have a sudden urge to blog when I get home tomorrow (bear in mind I'm not going to get home until the middle of the night. I have to fly via Stanstead. That SUCKS.). So, yeah... look forward to it!

I came across this old post today, what a classic! I miss Ally. hehehe.

The debate goes on...

I still can't decide.

Which is best? An Australian or an Irish accent?

Christiana thinks Australian is better, but I just can't decide on which one should win!!

Hmmmmm

Monday, April 03, 2006

I had a really good weekend! I love spending time with Christiana, and it was really nice to see all my old friends/family (they're like my adopted family...) again. We spent most of the time in Bradford, which since living in Sheffield I've decided it's not as much of a dump as I used to think it was, so that was good! Me and Chris went to the cinema to see V for Vendetta with Josh, Danny and Kev and some other random guy whose name I don't even know. The film was ok. Strange, but ok! Overall it was a great weekend! Here's a few pictures for you...
